How it works

What happens in a session

Talking helps. Deciding is the hard part. Here's how a session gets you from one to the other.

Getting started

From first look to first session

You can browse and use the coach finder without an account. You sign up when you’re ready to talk.

  1. Find

Pick a coach, or describe it.

Browse the coaches, or tell the coach finder what's going on. No account needed.

  2. Sign up

    Create a free account.

You need one to start a session. New accounts start on Free, with 1 active coach.

  3. Talk

    Confirm, then talk it through.

Check your coach and what you want to work on. Then speak. Captions show as you talk.

Step 2

Sign up, then confirm your coach

Starting a session needs a free account. If you described your situation first, it comes with you.

  • New accounts start on Free.

Free includes 1 active coach, with voice sessions and saved next steps. No card needed.

  • You check it before it starts.

You'll see the coach you picked and what you described. Start the session, or go back and choose again.

  • What you described becomes the focus.

Once you confirm, it's saved with the session. Your coach starts from there, so you don't repeat yourself.

Step 3

Talk it through, in four steps

Every session follows the GROW model. It was developed by coaches in the UK in the 1980s. It’s still one of the most used coaching methods.

  1. Goal

What do you want from today?

Name one thing you'd like to leave with.

A coach might ask: “What would make today's session worth it?”

  2. Reality

    What's really going on?

Sort the facts from the worry about them.

A coach might ask: “What's actually happened so far, and what's the story you're telling about it?”

  3. Options

    What could you do?

Put a few routes on the table, even ones you'd usually skip.

A coach might ask: “If you couldn't do the obvious thing, what would you try?”

  4. Will

What will you do, and when?

Pick one step and a time. It's saved for you.

A coach might ask: “What's the first step, and when will you do it?”

Next step saved

Write the 3 report headings.

The coach adapts the order to you. Some sessions spend most of the time on Reality. That's normal.

Out loud

A spoken session, with captions

You speak, the coach answers out loud, and you can interrupt. Live captions show what you both say. The transcript is saved when the session ends.

  • Works in your browser.

No app to install. On a laptop or on your phone. Allow the microphone when your browser asks.

  • One coach, start to finish.

Your coach stays the same for the whole session. To talk with a different coach, end the session first.

  • It runs on Google's Gemini AI.

What you say is sent to Gemini so the coach can answer. Read what that means for your data.

You choose from 5 coach voices. You type only around a session: to describe your situation first, and to edit next steps after. If speaking or listening is hard for you, email [email protected]. Tell us what would help.

Step 4

Leave with a next step, written down

You don’t take notes. As you say what you’ll do, it’s saved with a time.

Next step saved

Write the 3 report headings.

  • Next steps

Anything you say you'll do is saved with a time. Edit it or mark it done later.

  • Goals

Bigger things are tracked across sessions, so you can see them move.

  • Insights

When something clicks, it's saved. Read it again when the same thing comes back.

  • Session history

Every session's transcript is saved. Your next session picks up the thread where the last one stopped.

All of this is on every plan, including Free.

Step 5

A check-in at the time you choose

Pick daily, workdays, or weekly. You'll get an email asking how your next step went. No streaks to keep. Miss one on a bad brain day, when focus and energy run low, and nothing breaks.

Step 6

Pick up where you left off

Your coach sees your past sessions together and your saved steps. You don’t have to explain it all again.

This works the same on every plan. You can read any past transcript in your session history. You can also clear a coach's memory any time in Settings.

Your coaches

Coaches you keep working with

Your first session with a coach makes them one of your active coaches. Going back to them later doesn’t count again.

Free includes 1 active coach. Pro includes 3, Executive includes 5, and Master has no limit. To make room, you can replace a coach. That deletes their history, so we ask you to confirm first.

What the coaches are

AI coaches, set up in the open

Each coach is an AI with a focus, a set of methods, and written instructions. You can read those instructions on every coach page. They aren’t people, and they aren’t licensed professionals.

Questions

Still wondering?

Do I need an account?

Not to look around. You can browse coaches and use the coach finder without one. To start a session, create a free account. New accounts start on Free.

Start free
Do I have to talk out loud?

Yes. Sessions are spoken conversations. Live captions show what you and your coach say, and the transcript is saved.

If speaking or listening is hard for you, email [email protected]. Tell us what would help.

Can I switch coaches?

Not during a session. Your coach stays the same until the session ends. After that, you can start with another coach if your plan has room.

If it doesn't, you can replace a coach. That deletes everything from that coach, so we ask you to confirm first.

Is this just ChatGPT with a name?

No. Each coach has one focus and its own methods. Sessions follow a coaching structure toward a next step, and what you decide is saved. You can read how each coach is set up on its page.

What if I have a bad day?

Plan for the day you have. A 10-minute session with one small next step still counts. Your coach can help you make the step smaller.
