Coaching Disclaimer
The most important page here. Coachyn is coaching. It is not therapy, and it is not licensed medical, legal, or financial advice.
Draft notice. This page describes how Coachyn is intended to work and is written in plain language on purpose. It is not yet a finalised legal document and has not been reviewed by counsel. If something here matters to a decision you're making, ask us rather than assuming.
If you are in crisis or someone is at risk, stop reading and contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional. Coachyn is not a crisis service and is not monitored for emergencies.
1. What Coachyn is
Coachyn is an agentic AI coaching platform. It works on practical goals, habits, decisions, communication, planning, and follow-through. It helps you clarify what you're aiming at, break it into steps you can actually start, stay accountable to them, and recover when you don't.
That is the whole remit. Everything below is what sits outside it.
2. It is not therapy
Coachyn does not provide therapy, counselling, psychological or psychiatric care. It does not diagnose, treat, or work through clinical mental-health conditions, and it does not process trauma.
The distinction is not always obvious from a single message. "I can't make myself start anything" might be a sizing problem, or it might be something considerably heavier. Where a conversation moves from what you'll do next toward what's wrong, the right response is to point you at a professional — and that's what the coaches are built to do, rather than improvise a therapeutic frame they aren't qualified to hold.
3. It is not licensed advice
Coachyn does not provide medical, psychological, legal, or regulated financial advice. Three domains sit close to regulated professions and are scoped deliberately:
| Domain | What it does | What it will not do |
|---|---|---|
| Financial / Wealth | Money habits, avoided admin, postponed conversations, saving behaviour. | Tell you what to invest in, or act as a regulated financial adviser. |
| Health and Wellness | Sleep, movement, and food habits; showing up for a plan you already have. | Diagnose, treat, or contradict a clinician's instructions. |
| Business and Executive | Decisions, priorities, difficult conversations, follow-through. | Act as legal counsel on anything with legal consequences. |
The same principle applies across all nineteen domains: each carries explicit limits, and those limits are part of the coach rather than a disclaimer bolted on afterwards.
4. AI-generated guidance can be wrong
Coaching responses are generated by AI models. They can be imperfect, incomplete, or confidently incorrect. Hold anything Coachyn says the way you'd hold a suggestion from a thoughtful friend who doesn't have the full picture: worth testing against your own circumstances, not a result.
This matters more here than in most products, because Coachyn deliberately sounds like it knows you. It does hold real context — what you committed to, when you delivered, where things usually break. Context is not omniscience.
5. The decisions stay yours
Coachyn does not do the work for you and does not decide for you. You remain responsible for what you do, what you don't do, and the outcomes either way. That includes deciding when a situation has outgrown coaching.
We make no guarantee of results. Nobody honestly can — the variable that decides the outcome is whether you show up, which is precisely the variable we're trying to help with and precisely the one we can't control.
6. Emergencies
Coachyn is not an emergency service. Messages you send are not monitored in real time by a person, and there is no guarantee anyone will read a message quickly.
If you're thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or you're in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line in your country now. If you're struggling but not in danger, please talk to a doctor or a licensed mental-health professional — that isn't a failure, and it isn't a smaller step than coaching.
7. When to use something else
Coachyn is the wrong tool if:
- you're looking for a diagnosis, or for treatment of a diagnosed condition;
- the question has legal consequences and you need to know your position;
- you need advice on specific investments, products, or tax;
- what's in the way is grief, trauma, or a crisis rather than a scheduling or sizing problem.
Recognising that early is a good outcome, not a wasted signup. Coachyn will say so when it can tell, and we'd rather it did.
8. How this fits with the rest
This page forms part of the Terms of Service and should be read with the Acceptable Use Policy, which asks you not to try to work around the limits described here.
9. Contact
If a coach crossed a line described on this page, we want to know: tell us what happened. That report is more useful to us than almost any other kind of feedback.
